Founded and led by Sam Smyth, who brings over a decade of experience in the disability support sector, our organisation was born out of a desire to provide reliable, long term support to individuals and families navigating complex challenges.
Sam’s professional journey has been dedicated to working with young people presenting with complex needs and behaviours of concern, giving her a deep understanding of the impact consistent, relationship based support can have on personal growth and wellbeing.

Supporting Heroes is more than a service provider it is a commitment to stand alongside families and carers, recognising them as the unsung heroes of everyday life.
We understand that families invest extraordinary effort, resilience, and dedication in supporting their loved ones, and our role is not to replace that effort but to enhance it.
By collaborating closely with families, therapists, educational providers, and the broader community, we ensure that every support plan is holistic, coordinated, and genuinely responsive to the individual’s goals, preferences, and cultural considerations.

Our services are diverse, addressing the full spectrum of support needs, including in home assistance, community engagement programs, school holiday and day programs, short term accommodation, and specialised boys only programs for young men aged 15–25.
Every service is delivered with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and empowerment, designed to promote independence, social participation, and skill development.
We view challenging behaviours not as obstacles but as communication, and our proactive, strength based strategies focus on achieving positive, sustainable outcomes.
